Osagyefo Dance Company was founded in the fall of 2018 by three co-founders and Executive Directors, Mustapha Braimah, Isaac Adjetey, and Leslie Adjetey Klufio, all from Ghana, West Africa. These indefatigable individual artists merged and created this company for love and connection to Africa.
The company has distinguished itself in the world of drumming, dancing, and performance for its dynamic and high-energy performances and its commitment to excellence, discipline, and authenticity.
Our performance has been expansive at the Embassy of Ghana, Dance Africa DC, and collaborating with Soul In Motion Players and Coyaba Dance Theater. Osagyefo Dance Company has worked diligently to maintain the reputation of serving the Diaspora with authenticity and representation of African drum and dance performance.
The Company aspires to empower and strengthen the narrative of African art by offering an opportunity for the community to learn, study and experience the history, movement, and beauty of African traditional dance, music, and culture at its highest level. Osagyefo Dance Company is committed to artistic excellence, African arts education, and community building.
Through performances, workshops, and teaching residencies, Osagyefo works with diverse populations of professional dancers, drummers, and music of African and African-American origin. A unique aspect of our work is our dedication to engaging people with little or no dance background, as well as those who are novice about African based performance.

Workshops
Osagyefo Dance Company brings you greetings from the southern coast of West Africa, Ghana. This workshop aspires to strengthen the narrative of African art by offering an opportunity for participants to learn, and experience the history, movement, and beauty of African traditional dance, music, and cultures of various Ghanaian ethnic groups.
Through active participation, the workshop will offer an all inclusive and supportive environment. A unique aspect of this work is our dedication to engaging people with little or no dance background, as well as those who are novice about African based performing arts and culture.
